Same NSAID poisoning pathway as White-rumped Vulture. Additionally threatened by loss of large nesting trees (Bombax, Ficus) to logging and land clearance. Lower reproductive rate (one egg per year, long maturation) means recovery is slower even with threat reduction. Threats are decreasing within Vulture Safe Zones but intensifying elsewhere.
